Description
Glooscap's Great Leap, based on the story The Devil's Footprint, prominent throughout lower New England and Eastern Long Island. When Glooscap left the region, he leapt from stone to stone, and in doing so, drove his cloven foot into stones from New England to Orient Point, to Shelter Island, and finally, to Montauk, where at last, he leapt deep into the ocean.
