There is a natural depression on top of the rock that collects rain, insuring a continual supply of fresh water which, despite the weather, is always cold.Jason's Rock is one of the stops on the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society's Deb Foster Trail, with a historic marker that tells it's history.

In earlier days, the Moon Person would visit the people of this area. One day, a child with a muddied hand placed their hand on the Moon Person, causing him shame and eventual disappearance toward the sky.I was honored to have had the support of @parrishart to produce and exhibit this work from my photo series 'Stories' during the 2018 Parrish Road Show.
