Hallock Site, 2016#artforsaleArchival Inkjet Print1/1020 x 30 inchesDM for negotiable price! The Hallock site in Orient, NY on the North Fork is a small 17th-century flaking workshop that was found along the shore of where this photograph was taken. Three thousand stone scrapers were found on the surface, collected since the 1880s.It comes from my project 'On This Site' which is an art-based photography project by Shinnecock artist Jeremy Dennis. The purpose of this project is to preserve and create awareness of culturally significant Native American locations on Long Island, New York. The Hallock Site image was part of “On This Site: Indigenous People of Suffolk County," at the Suffolk County Historical Society in 2017.You can see other works for sale on my website with link in bio!
