Jeremy Dennis will be a guest panel moderator for Native Photography as Self-Determination at the Abbe Museum’s Dawnland Festival of Arts & Ideas, returning July 11-12, 2026 on the campus of College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine.
The Dawnland Festival of Arts & Ideas centers Wabanaki and Native thought leadership through panels, performances, and a Northeastern Native arts market. The 2026 festival also marks a collaboration with the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage’s Of the People: Smithsonian Festival of Festivals, connecting the Abbe Museum’s Indigenous-led platform with a broader national conversation while remaining grounded in Wabanaki leadership and place-based knowledge.
The Dawnland Festival is organized by the Abbe Museum, which is dedicated to advancing understanding of Wabanaki Nations’ heritage, living cultures, and homelands.
