Hampton Library in Bridgehampton, 2478 Main St, Bridgehampton, NY 11932

Bridgehampton, NY – The Geri Bauer Art Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of old and new works featuring Shinnecock artist and photographer Jeremy Dennis. The “On This Site – Shinnecock Sites” show will run from November 1st, 2019 – November 30th, 2019. The exhibition will feature a selection from Dennis’ work On This Site, a collection of site-specific indigenous histories represented by landscape photography.

Many of the works are inspired by local history, exploring overlooked local history and cultural narratives surrounding indigenous people on Long Island. The exhibition takes place for the entirety of National Native American Heritage Month, which aims to provide a platform for Native people in the United States of America to share their culture, traditions, music, crafts, dance, and ways and concepts of life. This gives Native people the opportunity to express to their community, both city, county, and state officials their concerns and solutions for building bridges of understanding and friendship in their local area.

“On This Site – Shinnecock Works” will run through November 30th, 2019.
