Jeremy Dennis is included in Just Powers: Long Island Biennial 2026 at The Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, New York. The exhibition is the ninth edition of the Long Island Biennial, bringing together artists from Nassau and Suffolk counties and strengthening connections among Long Island artists, audiences, and communities.
This year’s Biennial takes the Declaration of Independence (1776) and George Grosz’s Eclipse of the Sun (1926) as starting points for thinking about power, national ideals, public life, and the unfinished promises of liberty and equality. Selected from an open call of nearly 600 submissions, the exhibition includes 73 works by 69 artists whose work responds to these histories and their continuing relevance today.
Just Powers brings together diverse Long Island perspectives on democracy, civic life, political imagination, and the ways artists interpret, challenge, and reframe national ideals. Jeremy Dennis is listed among the exhibiting artists representing Southampton.
