Group Exhibition 2026
The possibility that water has the ability to hold memory has been debatable amongst modern science circles, yet indigenous cultures throughout time have considered water sacred with spiritual elements that directly influence human existence. If we were to consider the scientific fact that the adult human body is 70% water, our connection to water is undeniable. The artists in this exhibition use personal & collective memories, water, or both to create artworks that examine the influences that the passage of time has within various cultures. “Like Water’ explores how personal histories and collective cultural experiences create memories that can be and have been interpreted within art. These artists distort, reconstruct, and preserve memory as water does to an active river bed.
