A Portrait of America: Documentary Photography at 250 Years is a major summer exhibition at Floyd Memorial Library in Greenport, New York, curated by Sally Grant.
Presented in connection with the USA’s 250th anniversary, this documentary photography exhibition features twenty-two artists whose works follow in the spirit of iconic American documentary photographers such as Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans, and Robert Frank. Rather than a celebration, the show offers a reflection on the country: the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Jeremy Dennis is included with works from his Rise series, presented in response to the 250th commemoration of the United States.
Opening reception: Friday, June 26, 2026, 5:00-7:00 pm.
Exhibition dates: June 26-August 23, 2026.
